Okay a Nappie

Posted by Dad's Army on 15 Oct 2017, 14:58

Well as most of you guys know, I do paint Asterix figures.
And the most of you do see rather a Napoleonic figure then a Romain solder...
So I thought because I got a lot of figures double (that is the problem getting the Romain solders),
why not make a Napoleon from a double figure, and so I did.
Even when I hate painting Nappies, I really like do make this one!
And here is my version of Bonaparte Napoleon:

And next to the original figure:

Just look at my blog to see how I made this guy: Click here

I hope you like him

Great idea Remco and very nicely done. The Napoleonics bug bites another victim. :-)

But if you compare this figure to what, I think, the whole world would agree is the definitive, most authoritative and unquestionably, most authentic portrait of Napoleon:

The nose is spot on.

For those of you who have not visited, it is well worth it to follow the link to Remco's blog to see how cleverly and inexpensively created this conversion.

Very inspirational and quite well done sir!

Cool job on the Nappy. But I still love the Netherland Cavalry you painted for the first GB in 2015. So maybe slowly but surely...
