54mm Swiss Guard Halberdier

Posted by Santi Pérez on 21 Aug 2017, 14:20

This is an old work, dating from almost twenty years ago.

The figure is a 54mm kit from the Swiss Guard series made by the Spanish manufacturer Art Girona (http://www.art-girona.com/).

Santi, for a 20 year old figure, it looks terrific. Paintwork is crisp and neat. I like the colorful uniform.

Thank you very much for your compliments, panzerman825 and Kekso.

The colourful uniform is merit of the Swiss Guard Commander Jules Répond, in the early twentieth century, not mine. Mine is only the humble paint work. ;-)

Cheers.

Thank you for your words, Konrad.

It's always a pleasure when someone tells you that your work has inspired his.

I've already tried the amazing figures from MM Miniatures. By chance that diorama was my first work to be posted here at the forum.

Perhaps you could get more inspiration watching my posts in the Gallery under the title LA GUARDIA SVIZZERA NELLA PIAZZA DI SAN PIETRO.

I hope to be of help for you. Best regards. :-)

Thank you, BB.

It seems that the time for Napoleonics is over and the time for the Vatican Swiss Guard is coming, haha. There are good perspectives for the future with Konrad's project. ;-)

Best regards.
