28mm Victrix French Foot artillery howitzer

Posted by gerry7944 on 20 Jun 2017, 07:17

This is the 28mm Victrix French Foot artillery howitzer and crew.

I have used Vallejo paints on the crew and gun,

The base is MDF laser cut and I have used static grass and various flowers and grass tufts.

Cheers

Gerry

Really nice Gerry. Which Vallejo green did you use for the gun carriage?

Victrix sure has come a long way since their first sets, these are top notch.

Beautifully painted as always Gerry.

However, the spongeman will be on a charge or dead soon as the ventsman is not there to create the Vacuum whilst sponging out/ reloading.

There looks to be a scoop there too in the age of prepacked ammunition.

Why do companies keep producing poor poses when there is so much research material available?

The TMP page has a section on the Black Powder Grand Battery where the crews are about to suffer more casualties than there intended target. Bonkers!

Happy modelling.

Man I love those hats! Good faces, too. I don't have much to add about artillery practices of the early 19th Century...

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.

Much appreciated.

The green is German cammo green which I then give a wash of Agrax earth shade and when dry add a little white to the cammo green and give it a dry brush.

Much appreciated.

There is always one who disregards the training.
