1/35 Diorama "Grubbs up"

Posted by gerry7944 on 21 Feb 2017, 23:39

This is a 1/35 diorama using Tamiya vehicles and a mixture of Dragon, Tamiya and resin figures.

The base is a notice board.

Cheers

Gerry

Hello, a superb composition. I love how everyone is reacting to each other just as in real life. Too often, in my opinion super modelling is spoiled by the cast gazing into outer space!

Lovely detail, fried egg anyone?

Best wishes,

Chris

@Gerry7944
Your work is most inspiring my friend. I very much like scrolling thru finding all the little
Details capTured in your scenes.
I would love to see your model area/room. Where or how do you display all these pieces?

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.

Much appreciated.

I use my loft as my man cave or as my wife calls it the Museum.

I will attempt to post some pictures below and apologise if they do not work (not a child of the computer age I am afraid)

Cheers

Gerry

Sorry I asked!!!!

First - all your helmets and head wear, they are crap and should be immediately sent to my home address.
Second - all your GI Joe style large figures, they are crap too and should follow the same path as the head wear!!!!

Just kidding of course. What a great set up!!!!

You noticed my guitar collection............ Good observation.

Wish I could play them?...........oh I can just very badly.

My son is the musician in our house not me. I just build models.

Had a sixstringed banjo in the early 90s, that I never got to sound as I wanted to, but I still regret that I sold it. Here is how I stored the guitars before (not all of them are playable, two are just goodlooking):

But I do not play that much any more so now we have them like this (the small one is not a ukelele, it's an octave-guitar. Used it live, but now my fingers feels too big for it):

Sorry for the offtopic! Now back to the main hobby, painting!
