28mm Perry French Napoleonic Hussars

Posted by gerry7944 on 15 Feb 2017, 16:54

These are Perry 28mm Plastic French Hussars. I have painted them to represent the 5th Regiment.

I have used Vallejo model paints and created the bases using sand, static grass and various Bushes and grass tufts.

Cheers

Gerry

I have some 28mm French Hussars from Warlord on my paint desk. This work is very inspirational for me.

Wow, just wow.

Did you hand paint the sabretaches or are those transfers (and if so who makes them?).

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.

These took a lot of work to paint and seemed to go on forever but they were worth it in the end.

Look foeward to seeing your Warlord Hussars on here.

Which Regiment are you thinking about representing?

Much appreciated.

I wish I could paint Sabertaches like that.

No they are decals which I obtained from Battleflag which are made specificaly for the Perry Plastic Hussars.

They are very fiddely to cut out as you cannot leave too much of a decal film on as this will prevent them laying well on the sabertache. You also must use Microsol decal softner so that they conform well to the sabertache.

Worth the hassle though.

Thanks for the info Gerry - I have a box of these in my stash waiting to be painted as the 6e Régiment de Hussards (for my 28mm 1815 French for Ligny).

Kekso

Great idea representing most of the Regiments.

Look forward to seeing the end results.
