I like this one a lot. All those different uniforms and all those different plants. Wow. Its pleasing and romantic, almost makes us forget war is not such a happy thing. It looks like these officers can not be used for gaming since it has been fastened on a proper wooden vignette block.

Does this maybe mean you don't use any of your other units for gaming?

A question about the officer wearing high bearskin hat: he wears a typical Napoleon III era beard. Was he a specific person during Napoleon I times?

Mr .Cryns

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.

Much appreciated.

I am more a painter and collector of figures than a war gamer although Napoleonic wargaming does fascinate me. I love doing dioramas in various scales and the 28mm range offers up good oppertunities for this.

With regards to the Grenadier Officer. He wears the uniform of the Grenadiers of the Imperial Gaurd and is an ADC to either Ney or the other high ranking officer at the table. As far as I am aware he does not represent a particular character. The beard is the way he was sculpted by the Perry's.

Cheers

Beautiful figures. These Perry have style - and when they are expert painted...

I agree the grenadiers officer looks like Ms Canrobert or even his majesty Napoleon III himself. Very "modern" in 1815, but sooooo Frenchie :-D

Yes i like the Perry figures and they are not too expensive particularly the plastic range.
