Zvezda - WWI German Infantry (Sept.)

Posted by T. Dürrschmidt on 09 Aug 2010, 20:57

Another must have from Zvezda..

but some Mistakes on the box art.....too less men with moustache (very common in the early phase of war...before the use of gasmasks made moustaches and beards dangerous...but this could be corrected with some color) and the loader for the machinegun 08/15 is on the false side of the gun. I hope this is only on not inside the box.

They look good. Unfortunately there are no "trench" poses (standing on the fire step, throwing the grenade over the parapet,.....). Every producer ignores this types of poses.

They do look good. And for this early war set I can live with the not so specific trench poses.
However: I agree with you.
The "going over the top" theme is a very attractive subject to see.
Perhaps Caesar is working on it, like they are working on the Sturmpionieren?
(If I had a plastic soldier company I will make such sets; I'm sure they will sell like hotcakes in all the Great War musea in North France and Belgium)

I don´t have any figures from Zvezda in my collection, I know them only from PSR,..... but..... in this case the sculpting looks quite poor to me :? (palms without fingers, muzzy details, ...)
Is this Zvezda´s common standard???

It's true they don't seem to be at the zvezda standart...some heads are strange
Maybe they changed the sculptor for this "modern" set...

Nope, but if they are the same size as the HaT figures then the two sets will work together nicely :)

Sorry, this is full production.
Sales began in Moscow on September 3. Information taken from forum fantadrom.com.

They kinda remind me of the zvezda austrian pikemen and muskteer sets almost, the muskteer with wheellock was very simplistic kinda like what im seeing now  . Although the MG team seems pretty nice so does the officer.

They are up on PSR, Awaiting reviews.
Size: 1.80m/25mm.
Should be the same as Hat German inf. and a bit taller as Hat German Jäger, so perhaps they mix.

(but I've got my doubts :? )
