In case you all haven't noticed yet - the new caesar figure sets are on dispaly on PSRs "Awaiting review"-list:
http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/AwaitingReview.aspx

7 out 12 poses on the Afrika Corps-set are equiped with sub-machine guns! Hmm...

All the best

I'm going to order several boxes of the recently released Caesar sets soon. Height-wise (as stated by PSR) they seem to mix very well with my Esci, Revell & Italeri DAK figures. The named sets offer already many rifle, heavy weapon & other poses. To be honest, I like the new Caesar set for the excellent sculpting & anatomy (as usual) and especially for just that reason: the many "action" & advancing poses, because the other sets contain a lot of non combat poses already (the water drinking guy from the -otherwise excellent- Revell set comes immediately to mind). Therefore the Caesar figures are an highly welcomed addition for my Panzergruppe Afrika.
That's were the new Caesar italians will serve as well, together with many of their Waterloo 1815 comrades.

The italian, commando & 2nd US sets look very promising as well. Good size, 12 poses each, fine details on uniform & gear, excellent poses & anatomy, good choice of weapons, authentic & well animated actions and the best is that they're quite a bargain here (considering the given quality) imho.

Dear mr Von Manstein,
I'm wondering what the fourth figure of the third row is doing from Caesars DAK set? (http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Fir ... px?id=1886)
Blowing up an airballoon, doing an alcoholtest? :-)
Anyway, I kinda like the new Caesar sets: they give more variety to excisting sets.
Choice of poses can be much better, but the sets are no stand-alones, like the new Italeri range.
And despite all the Germans there is still one big omission in Caesars ww2 range: Russians!
So Caesar may continue their ww2 range until they've made a set or 2 of good russians, including specialist troops.

Indeed, this guy could be the kneeling equivalent to that always thirsty Revell bloke. :-D
But in this case we get just one figure instead of five in the Revell set.
Nice pose btw, one could add binoculars for example.... .

Or....he really does have a birthday and he´s blowing up a balloon :-)
Or....he really IS blowing up a balloon and is going to draw a face on it to distract enemy fire. :affraid:
Or...he´s sucking the helium out of a ballon to get a silly voice
Or...It´s his tongue, all swollen up from the heat :P

I´m actually very tempted to get the set just for that figure. I´ve thought of an outrageous conversion but maybe it wouldn´t be allowed here. :winky: :winky: :winky:
And the one in the middle row, far left...he looks like he´s straining to do something...break wind maybe??
