Another great addition to your creations, Mr. Cryns, and with impeccable historical research, as always .

Fantastic figures, as always. And painted in a colorful yet restrained style that I think captures the reality of antique colors.
And while many people think 3D modeling and printing are the future of our hobby, these hand-sculpted figures seem "alive" to me in a way that computer-generated figures can't match.

Well done Mr. C.

Another triumph of scale modelling and anatomy.

Presumably these are destined for HMS Suprise, but will no doubt be gracing many other vessels over time.

Fingers crossed that Wolfgang’s site gets up and running again soon.

Best wishes,

Chris

Thank you dear mr. D.

Yes these sailors are part of my co-production with Geschichte in Miniaturen / W. Meyer and P. Ullrich who are developing the HMS Surprise diorama called 'The Passenger 1798'. Meyer supplied me with lots of very good research material on Nelsons Navy. Here is an image of the fregate, orinially a French corvette ship called Surprize seized by the Royal Navy and now build in scale 1:72 by the very gifted Spanish shipmodelbuilder Curro Agudo Mangas.

Thank you dear Ochion, Beano Boy, Alex and Santi Perez for your nice feedback.

Yes you are absolutely right, the original French name was Unité, not Surprize.
