Orion 2020 - 2021 news & releases

72053 - Ruff-Puffs (South Vietnamese Regional Force and Popular Force)

Orions next Vietnam War set, 48 figures in 12 poses.
Relatively unusual, but nevertheless highly welcomed extension of the otherwise sparse 1/72 figure range concerning this conflict. :yeah:

Hoping for further sets!

The reputation of these fighters amongst U.S. soldiers in that conflict was poor.

Ah!
that`s the reason why they are so many slow walking and standing poses in comparison to the next two boxes.

Maybe Haron could clarify if his fine Vietnam War range will see further sets in the future?

As others already mentioned, there are several desirable subjects left to handle.
From my point of view, this would primarily be more NVA & VC regulars & support but also some expansions to the Esci & Pegasus US-forces (the more variety, the better). ANZACs would be really nice to have too... . ;-)

Yeah for these three new sets (provided Orion does a good job on the actual production!), as now Vietnam got a whole lot more interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, don't the 2nd set of ARVN look more like South Vietnamese Marines then reg Army?

48 figures in 12 poses, useful for Commonwealth tankies in North Africa, the Mediterranean & Far East.

Awesome !

And the typical tea cup in the hand pose (check by Matchbox or Milicast) is in, too.

It appears to be coffee to me. But the difference is tough to see at this scale.

And they look also usefull for the LRDP. I just hope they aren't to big in comparison with the matchbox figures.

To be honest, I think they will be bigger. Matchbox is nice but really small.
