Linear-A news & releases 2020 - 2025

Given the current global financial turmoil that will probably worsen, I guess all figures will go up in price.

I do love getting a little package of figures in the post but if this happens less frequently (or, shudder, not at all) I can always take out a painted army & admire it. And, TBH, some of my older figures could be stripped & re-painted.

By nature, I tend to look on the bright side of things which may be foolish but I think the optimum approach.

I personally appreciate just having more options, at least we can decide to buy them if we want or not. I mostly buy 3D prints nowadays, which means designs are scale agnostic because files can be resized, so I have a lot to choose from and I already have a giant backlog anyway. Even if people don't get the new Linear-A sets, at least we can get them, it's better that they exist, is my point. I've noticed that some of their new main box sets have reduced the figure count from the 30s to 20, which isn't hugely problematic to me because I used to just give away or sell the duplicates, but I guess they're going to keep the same price while reducing the content, true shrinkflation. I don't like it, but it is what it is. I'll just limit what I buy. No flaming pigs but I do want the elephants and maybe the Roman legionaries. I buy so little sets anyway, it's a very occasional purchase

I sometimes regret being "a little discriminating" in the past & *not* buying some great sets that covered periods I wasn't (then!) interested in. I caught the end of the Atlantic sets & should have bought a lot. There were Zvesda sets sitting on the shelves of my LHS I left sitting. EG I now want to add scythed chariots to my Galatian army & the Zvesda Persian chariot sets would be ideal if I had of bought them.

Yes, I sometimes regret not buying miniature figures & wasting my money on luxuries like food & paying the mortgage.....

Linear-A has announced that they will be selling the following sets from the 19th of May.

BIG SETS;

#029 Roman Anti-Elephant Wagon Pyrrhic War 280-275 BC "Battle of Asculum 279 BC"
#121 Jason and the Argonauts with Talos, crew of the Argo, from the movie 1963 Set 1
#136 Jason and the Argonauts with Hydra, golden Fleece, Skeleton Army, from the movie 1963 Set 2

REGULAR SETS;

#044 MARGIANA 2000 BC - 1700 BC "Oxus civilization" "with lapis lazuli mine"
#063 The Battle of Pharsalos "First Triumvirate" THE LEGIONS OF GAIUS JULIUS CAESAR Set 1
#064 The Battle of Pharsalos "First Triumvirate" THE LEGIONS OF GAIUS JULIUS CAESAR Set 2
#065 The Battle of Pharsalos "First Triumvirate" THE LEGIONS OF GNAEUS POMPEIUS MAGNUS Set 1
#067 The Battle of Carrhae "First Triumvirate" THE LEGIONS OF MARCUS LICINIUS CRASSUS Set 1
#094 The Battle of Carrhae "First Triumvirate" THE LEGIONS OF MARCUS LICINIUS CRASSUS Set 2
#128 Jehoschua / Jeschua / Jesus, the true story
#141 Republican Roman Incendiary

Just like everyone else, it seems, I am just going to buy what I think I need, and then, not much more. The prices (though unannounced by Linear-A) are getting up there... and the number of figures in each box lower. :/
