The ancients - ranges are growing, it is great, that Linear-a establish such subjects with 1:72 Figures

I have my eyes the Cunaxa - theme, which is my special interest too. This cavalry set gives an overview of the different ethnical cavalry contingents from the satrapies on both sides of the battle. Very well researched and vividly sculpted.
Since the work of Duncan Head in the 1980s there were made some some new research of the achaemenid cavalry In the last decades for example from Christopher Tulpin and John Hyland, and of course the archaelogical find of the Altıkulaç Sarcophagus....
It would be interesting what is comming next, greek light armed mercenary hoplites with Peltasts; persian guard troops or entourages of the rival kings....

I do love how Linear-A has a tendency to just recreate figures from art, I gain most of my inspiration visually, so it's nice to have miniatures represented that way.

Guess I'm starting a Byzantine army at some point....

These are fantastic sculpts, glad we finally got updated modern models for Samnite cavalry soon!

I must say that the new set of Samnite/Allied cavalry looks very attractive. Linear A are certainly producing some very good sets, with more in the pipeline.

finally i was able to get my account back (how many nice posts do i have lost ???) !
Waiting now for more than two years the release of the linear Justinian range, i'm quite depressed with their timing...
The master looks just splendid, wich as good as frustrating !
Anyway, i was wondering what should be waiting of completing the range;
So far we will have :
a furious mob inspired by the nika rebellion (great idea !!)
the emperor, his wife, a priest and candidatii (imperial bodyguard)
a set of scholarii (elite troops), which looks amazing from the few pictures we have
a set of regular infantrymen (nice previews too)
But the justinian warfare was really made of cavalry, heavy one particularly...And i don't see any future set on it.

I all for new Napoleonic figures especially a variety of casualty figures and horses. Not being great at conversions they would certainly make diorama building much easier, at least for me. The figure putting his horse down is very unique. I would have bought the Waterloo sets but multiples of the same figures seems of very limited use.

That's all well and good and certainly true, but you do understand that although Linear-A's headquarter is located in Germany, the creation of masters and whole production take place in war-torn Ukraine?

Unfortunately, I would therefore not be too optimistic about the medium-term production figures, let alone the development and expansion of additional subject areas.

They are very nice figures, of course.
But, has anyone considered making a chorus line of novelty dancers out of some of them?
eg top row first figure is doing a tarantella , third row third figure could be tangoing (needs a partner) & several others are quite the ballet-dancers- particularly middle two figures in the third row. Surely, you could create a "Strictly Come Dancing" diorama using them.

My favourite figure is the chap shooting ants (top row, third figure).
