Linear-A news & releases 2020 - 2024

Kind of set that makes me reconsider not to stop with the Carthaginians.
Really: can’t be said enough how original LinearA is in their choice of subjects and kind of sets. Such fun!

Every now and then LinearA reveals some details about their future sets. No pictures though at the moment. But a pretty interesting one is the name of set #041:
Eastern Roman Empire The Nika Revolt 6th century ad.
The same period as the announced sets Roman Infantry set1, Imperial Guardsmen of Imperator Justinian and of course future mini set #011 Imperator Justinian I and Imperatrix Theodora I.
The Nika Revolt was quite a bloody event and took place in Constantinople in and around the Hippodrome. The other participants were the supporters/hooligans/political factions who joined the chariot-races.
Since LinearA already got some sort of reputation with several pretty bloody and cruel scenes in 1/72 plastic it’s possible we get another one with this set and series.

To be honest I got to admit I like those kind of sets and hope they make some bloody poses to recreate such a massacre.

(just daydreaming: wouldn’t LinearA be the perfect company to do the perfect set for la dernier carré de la garde at Waterloo?)

So much news lately that I forgot to have a look at PSR Awaiting Reviews. The latest sets are up. To be fair I stopped collecting Punic wars. Nevertheless I will certainly buy Hannibal Crosses the Alps set 3. For it’s epic theme. But this is so well executed.
Those elephants are spectacular!
There’s more in this set, but I had to share them.

That’s why I love this hobby.
Have a nice evening gentlemen!

No new masters, but some more plans have been revealed.
It seems the Hellenistic Diadochi will get full attention too and hopefully any time in future a full army of Seleucids can be created.
#033 Seleucid infantry PHALANX set 1
#047 Seleucid infantry set 2
#048 Seleucid CAVALRY/CHARIOT
#049 Seleucid ELEPHANTS versus Ptolemaic ELEPHANTS

#034 Ptolemaic infantry set 1

Also the Army of Pyrrhus of Epirus will get a
#028 Infantry PHALANX SET 1
plus
#045 Infantry ALIES/MERCANERIES set 2

So finally the Zvezda elephants will get some company (íf the elephants are comparable) and two different sets of phalanxes. Which is good news ‘cause I like the sight of phalanx formations! And Linear-A have shown they can make good elephants so some spectacular sets to look out for. :yeah:

Would it be fair to say that Linear-A is well on its way to conquering the Ancient World?

Well, the future list is growing faster than their output, so to call it a classic Blitzkrieg may not be appropriate.

But Rome wasn’t built in one day either.
