[Crowdfunding] Classic Fantasy Miniatures

Posted by Brok_Santatusca on 24 Jan 2020, 20:46

Hey all,

since Dark Alliance is producing so much great fantasy stuff, I'm using 1/72 for fantasy wargaming and fantasy RPGs all the time 8)

That's why I'm very happy, that the manufacturer Elhiem (UK) has started a small crowdfunding campaign for some classic fantasy miniatures in 1/72 scale :yeah:
https://www.elhiem.co.uk/ourshop/prod_6 ... ASE-1.html

I know the nice quality and service of Elhiem and I was happy to invest a few pounds into it. Maybe some of you guys are also willing to invest 1-2 pounds and help to realize it!
Just £15 left to get it started :o

Those are the miniatures, that will be made:

  • Wizard, pointy hat (Human Male)
  • Cleric in robes (Elf Female)
  • Warrior in Armour (Human)
  • Ranger (Elf)
  • Thief (halfling)
  • Barbarian Male human
  • Evil Wizard in hooded robe
  • Sorceress
  • Death Knight
  • Female Warrior
  • Lich
  • Halfling with a Tankard (Special Figure for funders)

best regards
Brok

I'm not sure there's enough information to pledge.
IMHO, this crowdfunding isn't prepared very well... pity, it seems interesting.

Oh Kekso, I know what you mean ;-)

But I think most of us know, that in the 1/72 business lots of makers/sellers are their own worst enemy when it comes to marketing (just think about Tumbling Dice having no product photos on their website for years)

Same goes for this Elhiem crowdfunding. However it doesn't mean that those makers/sellers have bad quality or service. I have many other Elhiem figures and they are very nice and also their service is great :yeah:

Also the funding threshold is so freaking low, I think it's ok to drop 1-2 pounds just for curiosity

P.S. If this first funding is completed, then there will be a second, seperate fantasy crowdfunding with other figures ("Phase 2")

Very interesting items! I've voted for the other two projects - about zombies!

Sadly nowhere near enough information for me to feel able to pledge - but I wish you every success with it.

Since fantasy figures seem to rely heavily on the Middle Earth denizens there are a few I have not seen produced (doubtless I have not seen everything done) and they would include Beorn the berserker as man/bear, the Ents and fairly sure no one has made any Woses. If you don't know who they are read the books instead of just watching the movies.

If you don't mind the scale gap there are some ents in metal made by Mithril Miniatures (Prince August). They have done almost everything from the books and some more. Scale is 32mm though. Ents and trolls and such can work with 1/72.
