Indeed, it seems a somewhat pointless release to me as well.
However, I can well understand that Waterloo wants to have its own & complete range of WWI Italians within the companies catalogue.
After all, this is exactly what they had announced a few years ago and apparently they had invested in an Arditi set, but unfortunately without success.
Still, after the disappointing Hät set and the not to be released Waterloo figures, we can possibly expect an adequate handling of this subject through RedBox.
They also announced an Arditi set almost 2 years ago.
In view of their younger releases, these figures might actually form a reasonable base for such troops in 1/72. Provided RedBox manages to continue production despite the adverse circumstances of the current war, I would hope for further WWI Italian and KuK sets to follow.
For me personally this is another long wished-for and intriguing topic area, the uniqueness of grim industrial warfare under the alpine conditions of WWI Italian front.
Any further talk about this or other RedBox figures should take place in the appropriate thread though.
