Preview of Nap. Russian Jaegers in winter dress.

And by the way, I'm totally fine with skirmishing troops like these Jägers being depicted without fixed bayonets. ;-)

I like them, but I'd like them better if they had bayonets. You can always cut them off if you don't need or want them, but fixing them to the musket if they're not there is WAY too fiddly for me. Providing them with attached bayonets would give the figures just a bit more versatility.

What a pleasure to paint figures without bayonets! The earlier jaegers set is a breeze to paint, the sculpting is so good it makes them really fun.

Some Forum members might be interested to note that a newsletter update from UK-retailer http://www.models2u.co.uk is advising that two new Strelets sets are due to be arriving next week: these are 240 French Gardes du Corps and 256 British Dragoons, both for the War of Spanish Succession/early 1700s.

But I fear the two new sets could be the last ones for the next time....I talked to Andreas Brüggemann (Kamar) some weeks ago. He said that Strelets is finished because of the war effects on the company....and the two WSS set´s moulds were in England for some revision....and because of this they could launch them.....

I'm not sure too much chaos at home at the moment, well behind on planned progress for this year.

I wouldn't be that pessimistic, On June 24th they posted what looks like a finished set of Bavarian cuirassiers on the sprue (http://pub33.bravenet.com/forum/static/ ... 8&cmd=show) and on June 30th the box art (http://pub33.bravenet.com/forum/static/ ... 6&cmd=show), so it may well be they'll surprise us with yet another set. They two finished sets arrived very fast here in Germany - faster even than in the UK - so let's hope for the best, for Strelets, for our hobby and for us collectors.

A very good-looking set! Great to see that Strelets are keeping on going in the face of adversity.

It will be interesting to see which horse poses Strelets allocate to this set. Hopefully the standing ones, as most of these activities on a cantering or galloping horse would be pretty much impossible!

Seems the forum has become a bit slow in updating new releases since the last "lockdown", so in case nobody noticed, Strelets has posted the sprue of their WoSS "Austrian cuirassiers in attack" http://pub33.bravenet.com/forum/static/ ... 1&cmd=show and these as well the the Bavarians have already been listed at Hannants (including box covers) as future releases, so we may be in for a nice surprise.

Thanks Flambeau,
I am really waiting for these and the Bavarians. Started to give up hope.
These are fabulous and really round up the period. There are 2 places where you can still see such armours in Austria: Burg Forchtenstein south of Neusiedlersee close to Hungarian border and in the exhibition of the Salzburg Castle.
Long live Strelets - slava Ukraïna

265 - WSS Dutch Infantry Firing Lines
Wonderful looking figures, hope they'll be able to release some of their announced sets despite the extremely adverse circumstances. :(

Super happy to see this company in work ebven in such terrible circumstances.

All those sets look lovely. And honestly, having one basic type boxes is amazing both for wargaming as well as for historically accurate dioramas.
