@kos: one can never tell that for sure what the next lot will be until Strelets gives the full list.
Probably quite some sets from this list: three Napoleonic Prussian cavalry sets, some bavarians, Russian infantry some Austrian, French Line.
Some ww2 Finnish, ww2 American anti tank squad.
Highlanders in attack 1899-1902.
WW1 Austrian Light artillery.
Arabs in skirmish (early 19th century), French foreign Legion light gun.
Perhaps some WoSS?
And otherwise you can make a guess when scrolling back on these pages. Those who have most progress may occur soon.
And sometimes Strelets got some pleasant surprises.
Hope this helps?

Thank you Strelets and thank you Marc! My dream Bavarians are coming and they look fantastic. I may have to build a bigger Bavarian army than I originally thought. Anyone know a good source for 1/72 scale Bavarian cavalry aside from the HaT set? Thanks!

20th century North African/Arabian topic again. Really like the tea-pouring pose.

The webbing and SMLE ought to be a give away, they are Long Range Desert Group WW2 British , Western Desert 1940/43 , the webbing and Bren pouches would have been very rare , but making tea happened quite a lot.

It might be wise to purchase some of the two Dragon lrdg patrol cars, one with lewis gun and one with the 2cm canon.
And don’t know if it’s completely correct, but perhaps the SAS 4x raider Jeep too, with one Bren and two double vickers k guns. The old matchbox sets were good fun in its time, but those dragon sets are better and always tempted me.
Strelets couldn’t ignore the requests and long time lobbying, but good to see they listened!

Marc, I have plenty of both Dragon kits, in fact the truck is on the table now, I was going to convert a few of Orion`s Brtish tank crew to man it, and probably still will unless Strelets show us some seated figures.

@zulu’s: what other cars are suitable for a future dio with lrdg and some other 8th army troops? Let’s say a Daimler armoured car ‘dingo’ for example?
Dio I have in mind (and really in far far future) might be a bit fantasy scenario, like the old movies. Some kind of adventurous raid.
Thanks in advance for some suggestions!

Marc, it depends on how historically accurate you want to be, from early 1942 the Chevrolet and Jeep are all you need. Prior to March 1942 there were other trucks used, all modified by the LRDG, fuel consumption was the big factor, so all vehicles used were soft skin, nothing with armour plate. Other trucks used were Ford 8cwt and 01 v8`s, chevrolet 15cwt`s ,but no one makes them in 1/72 ,so it`s a compromise 20mm/1/76 or use something that looks the part but my not be correct. But if you are doing 1942/43 you can do a patrol with 100% accuracy as the Dragon trucks work and one jeep as the pilot /command car.

Black dog do some resin sets to upgrade the Dragon chevrolets and the jeep, they are excellent and make both look far more authentic .

No Mabo. Seems I oversaw that.
(am I not a human? )
The masters were posted though.
I must say I like this kind of sets very much! Advancing/skirmishing or otherwise in more or less the same kind of pose.
Would be a wise policy of Strelets made more of this sets too.
(not complaining, just a bit jealous about those advancing Bavarians with even some dead & wounded poses too; they all look sharp and usefull)

Have a nice sunday!

Hello,
I must make amends and kind of accuse myself of blindness. When I showed the pictures of French pikeneers commenting the new Streletz set, I did not see that I had a picture of a pikeneer with tricorn - just as the Streletz guys - nearby. Below the picture - the guy at the left.
The source is the very large and well illustrated book of Auguste Racinet. He wrote an anthology of costume history in the middle of the 19th century, so not so far away as we are today. Unfortunately, he does not give any precise timing and he was not an expert of military costumes as such. So, other than this picture of a Garde Française in "new" blue uniform - adapted in 1685. So the debate about WSS and potential presence of pikes is certainly not closed with this picture.
Greetings Michael

Are we finally going to get a set of dragoons who are not in a full charge while waiving their swords above their heads?

I do think so. Just like the other two Prussian cavalry sets by Strelets coming up.
Wouldn’t mind if the Prussian Landwehr Cavalry by LinearA would be more active/in the action though. At least they should wear litewka’s for a bit more variety, since the strelets dragoons won’t get them. And that’s what they wore most of the time.
Love the idea to have several sets of these Uhlans with raised lances behind my columns of marching Prussian infantry, flanked by dragoons and hussars.
(always love the fearful sight of lancers or a wood of lances, in any period or time.

According to the box art, we will finally get a load of bullsh*
Could anyone at Strelets please hire someone who has at least a glimpse of knowledge of napoleonic uniforms before creating some fantasy boxart?

Really, I'm annoyed to the maximum.

Apart for a possible surprise I think most of the next release has been shown. Only some sprues and final figures.
Or did I missed something?
I’m afraid no Napoleonic Russian infantry shoulder arms for me this summer (not complaining, was just hoping, autumn can be a nice season too!).
