Wow those Bavarians seems to be one of the best sets from Strelets ever. Has a new modeler made them, I think it is the same who created all the Brits and Scotsmen. But there is something with the Bavarians...

I have to hand it to you Captain, you certainly have the martial music covered. For me it was perhaps a bit of a lark thinking of doing a single band but I never dreamed anyone would make several. Did you have to fabricate many of the instruments? You have created some very special and unique units. I think any serious collector should have at least one band in their armies, don't you agree?

Thanks Bessiere, the Empress Dragoon band is a mix of conversions: some Les Higgins; the drum major is an Art Miniaturen Roustam with drums and drum sticks added. The Line Dragoon band is an exact copy of this:

The drum majors are for the Horse Grenadiers, Mamelukes and Polish Lancers of the Guard - all plastic conversions.

One infantry band is S Range, one is HYTTY, one is Airfix Foot Guards with head changes.

My diorama is Waterloo - we know that 150 bandsmen went forward with the attack of the Imperial Guard but I must admit that there is no evidence of mounted bands at Waterloo - but then no evidence to say that there wasn't and I like to think that the Louis XVIII army of 1814-15 would have had such bands and they wouldn't have stayed behind in Paris. But I'm probably indulging in wishful thinking!

Btw, Strelets invites customers to "leave their footstep" on Strelets map.

Considering their longstanding dedication to our hobby and especially their current "anti-Corona-distraction-service", it would be a nice gesture to say hello there and thus giving back a little gratitude.

Hi there,
they don't look like "cavalry", but like two magnificent generals to me. Great!
As Streletz stated, they won't produce separate general staf sets. Therefore, I guess these will arrive as cavalry.
But then, at the time a general would wear household officer outfit, no?
Anyway, excitement doesn't stop. Waves of lace covered cavalry come hopping along….

M142 - Arabs in Skirmish

13 useful & authentic skirmishing poses. Again a set that can be used for a large geographic area and a longer time period.
