Strelets news 2020 - 2024

It’s like they wear chapka’s on the box art. The figures have chakos though.
Lances are bit so so, but acceptable, so I’ll buy three boxes as planned.

One box to start with is enough for me and to have the bonus figures! ;-)

Well - once again, Strelets has failed heavily with a boxart. Black jackets with czapka hat, red collar with golden stripe: congrats, folks, that's the 4th squadron of Uhlan regiment no. 6. or also known as 'Bremen volunteer cavalry' (see http://uniformenportal.de/picture.php?/ ... 1-e_ulanen) - which is, by the way, a late-war unit not useable for most scenarios of the 1812-1815 timeline.

The Luetzow corps lancers wore the black litewka jacket and the shako - they were an early unit and later formed the 1st and 2nd squadron of Uhlan regiment no.6.

The shako was the usual headwear of most regiments, only a handful used czapka helmets. Although the Kollet was the regular dress, the Litewka was a very common choice - therefore, I have no problem with the figures themselves. With small modifications, they are useable as Landwehr cavalry as well.

Very nice indeed.

Stretlets quality is now light years away from its past standards.

Oh my those are some nice raupenhelm. Glad i waited for these fellows as I'd like to have a strong Bavarian contingent. Is there a release date?

Further WSS figures. Love the command poses. :yeah:

And additional crew for an yet undisclosed recoilless rifle. Probably part of 247 - WWII US Anti-Tank Squad.
Looks very much like the 75mm M20 recoilless rifle in US service, which saw limited action in very late WWII, but is extremely useful for Korean, Indochina & Vietnam War (and other conflicts of course).

That recoilles gun is never done in our hobby before, so sure a good thing. Wiki says production was underway in March ‘45. So really for the very last period for Europe. Not for the Ardennes etc (but they are not in winter clothes either), although I do remember pictures of it being used then.
For sure it’s good for the Pacific.
Hope the tripod comes out well (which is not always the case in 1/72 plastic).
And although I don’t do Pacific I will get me one! :-D

Strelets usually accomplishes 2 release batches per year (each including ~15 new sets). One at the end of the year/around christmas, the other in late spring/early summer (may to june).
Masters at an advanced stage (like the Bavarians in question) are very likely to be released within the next two batches I think.
The upcoming nap. Bavarians & Brunswickers are sets I'm totally thrilled about. They promise to be lightyears ahead the feeble Hät ones.

Oops, seems I'm confusing some of Strelets numerous releases and announcements me thinks... .
The origin of my statement might be wishful thinking, indeed I really hope that Strelets will add further Brunswickers to their excellent 154 - Brunswick Light Guards Battalion.

... and Poles, Bavarians & Württembergers for 1812 and other campaigns & battles... :xd:

I hope it's not only guards, but also line infantry because the bulk of the Brunswick units were line infantrymen, not guardsmen.
