Well - once again, Strelets has failed heavily with a boxart. Black jackets with czapka hat, red collar with golden stripe: congrats, folks, that's the 4th squadron of Uhlan regiment no. 6. or also known as 'Bremen volunteer cavalry' (see
http://uniformenportal.de/picture.php?/ ... 1-e_ulanen) - which is, by the way, a late-war unit not useable for most scenarios of the 1812-1815 timeline.
The Luetzow corps lancers wore the black litewka jacket and the shako - they were an early unit and later formed the 1st and 2nd squadron of Uhlan regiment no.6.
The shako was the usual headwear of most regiments, only a handful used czapka helmets. Although the Kollet was the regular dress, the Litewka was a very common choice - therefore, I have no problem with the figures themselves. With small modifications, they are useable as Landwehr cavalry as well.
