Strelets news 2020 - 2024

These hussars look great, most natural poses I think I've seen for mounted troops. Not sure why Strelets would go through the effort when waterloo 1815 already has a very nice set of Death's head hussars? The more the merrier I suppose, no complaints from me.

234 - WSS French Musketeers Firing is available now.
I had high hopes regarding the WSS French range, but according to number of critical comments it seems that this set is rather useless... . :(

The corresponding figures which are wonderful but sadly armed with far too short muskets.

It's a shame those figures were not better planned. On the Strelets forum everybody was commenting on how nice the figures looked, but how historically inaccurate the muskets were and that they would not fit in with any of the other WSS sets. I guess that's the risk Strelets take when they are producing so quickly-mistakes that are identified from the masters won't be corrected as they are already in production. Also, not sure a firing line of 28 musketeers needs 8 NCO's (plus the two officers and ensign).

Maybe in an Historical context it´s not good News but as recruits for Imagi-Nations--excellent :-)

I have several copies of the previous WSS sets, but this latest musketeers I will propably pass. I can live with most faults already stated by others and myself, but the short length of the muskets just looks wrong. What a pity on otherwise good looking figures. Is it possible to lengthen them myself somehow?

It is a pretty dynamic pose. More than is typical from radio operators available in that scale.

US or UK heavy weapons paratrooper sets would be nice too. Including extra airborne containers with supplies.
Perhaps all just a question of time (just like the often requested long range desert group set).

Hmm, nice, but they remind me of Strelets old sculpting style!

Friday previews.

246 - WWII Finnish Anti-Tank Squad in winter dress
Set seems to contain the finnish-made 20mm Lahti L-39 "Norsupyssy" AT-rifle and swedish 37mm PstK/36 Bofors AT-gun. Both excellent and characteristic choices for the Winter- and Continuation-War. :yeah:
