Dip those bent guys in hot water and stretch 'em back into place.

Not at all, I think the civilians are wonderful and the walking cavalry are so much more interesting because they are interacting with the civilians, being handed loaves of bread and mugs of ale.

Maybe they're intended for Napoleonic times but I think they are much more versatile. The shopkeeper in the apron (or is he the baker of the bread) with the boy on his shoulders could be watching Monty's tanks roll by. The woman in traditional dress is timeless. I can see the man waving his hat standing on the Royal Mile watching Bonnie Prince Charlie's entry into the city, same goes for the woman with the ale mug but she could pass for an Elizabethan Brewster, maybe even Medieval.

I don't know enough about civilian fashions through the ages to be too picky about details so these are multi purpose figures to me.

Agree with Graeme. These sets could be quite big sellers just for the civilians!

Did he lose it, or is he simply too manly to wear it?

It seems Strelets has a new policy with the bonus streltsi figures. They were missing in the latest December batch. For they have posted several masters of civilians already it might be a possibility that this will be the new theme of the bonus figures.

And I’m quite fond of the Prussian uhlans too! Not in a wild charge or trot for a change
(although: in most other cases I prefer the charge).

The flag is wrong of course. And difficult to cut it off.

The flag is pure fiction and the figure can be thrown away. It is too large for cavalry units - plus Prussian cavalry didn't take banners/flags into battle anyways.

Nevertheless, the figures look good, although the horses are a bit so-so. It's definitely worth to buy and I'm gonna be in. Prussian cavalry in good quality has geen a gap in the hobby for a long time - except from hussars. For some reason, there are fairly enough sets of Prussian hussars on the market, although the bulk of the Prussian cavalry wasn't made of hussars. I hope that Strelets will make some cuirassiers and dragoons as well.

There are some incorrect items in the Strelets sets. And I am still wondering why they did not redone or change them. But in general their output and quality is great.

And yes, they are going to produce at least dragoons. 1813 -15 Curassiers would be great to have. But they have not been present at Waterloo. Maybe that is a reason, why they are ignored

The hussars seems to be okay. And although I welcome the dragoons too and the poses are allright for my purposes I think some things are not correct. Apart for the flag, again, which was not carried by Prussian cavalry, the dragoons all wore the longer litewka coat.
Not one is wearing it in the showed masters.
And I prefer more oilskin covers. Well, actually I’d rather have only oilskins.

But the absence of the litewka is in my opinion the biggest mistake.
If anyone thinks otherwise I’d like to know.

Are the Civilians in a Set or in a own Set, only Civillians?

No announcements have been made about this by Strelets, but since different groups of civilians are shown along with different sets one can suggest they are the new extras along with the soldiers. Like the former(?) tradition of putting an extra Strelets figure in each infantry set.
So probably no separate set I say.
