At least new sets are being though! Would be worse if Strelets and Hat stopped completely. Strelets quality seems to differ huge amounts each set, but they have done some nice stuff recently. Even if some of the sets are a bit boring and would never interest me (I'm not sure I could be any less interested in sets that are entitled 'standing at ease', 'standing order arms' etc. If Hat could be a bit more generous in the poses proved in the marching/action/command sets some of them would be really quite good.

I've noticed a steady trickle of Zvezda re-releases over the past few months. Hopefully this will continue?

My problem with some Zvezda sets are that some sets are multi-parts, I really don't want to assemble 50 small, 1 inch plastic soldiers, just too frustrating, add the extra large size simply ruins it. Great sculpts but sometimes too much assembly. The HaT ACW marching figures look too chunky, not the slim and sometimes starved troops they're supposed to represent.

Hmm, the boers looks quite interesting. Some can end up in the Wild West (as Pascal already suggested) and some can probably fill out a Confederate army.

Those strelets Brits above. They can also be used for the Kings German Legion too. BB

All nice and stuff all those British infantry standing, I mean: I need a lot of Russians doing the same, but I really hope they make a decent firing line too. Hopefully two. First ranks for a carré and second one firing/loading. Then we’re talking.

Indeed, I am personally not going to buy standing because it doesn't fit in my collection but I admit sculpting is just getting amazing with Strelets.
I also cross my fingers for more action figures to spend my money .

I would like to see some good action figures too. Sure have been a lot of standing and marching figures coming out lately. The sculpting is excellent and the figures look great but my games and scenes are more tactical oriented so I need a lot of action figures. I'd like to see some Napoleonic figures like the Strelet ACW Union troops attacking three and the Confederate Pickett's Charge 3.Something a little more aggressive and threatening with the bayonet

Considering the way these last references depict armies, in a rigid/military attitude (which is a good thing IMHO) I would guess that if they plan to do firing references, they will be also in a similar attitude, close to the regulation.
I think we need both regulations poses and more natural/lifelike poses but taking in consideration the way 19th century peolple move and act (which is sometimes different from nowadays)

I'm also not crazy about standing about figures. And I don't have Russian figures except the ones in Prussian service but I would seriously consider buying this set just to get that officer in the cloak. What a great figure!

Personally I think a figure eating a stick of Blackpool Rock is long overdue as well, but that might be just me.

Me too. I´ve seen the suggestions as to what they might be on the Strelets Forum but wether they are French, English, GNW or whatever doesn´t interest me as they will make perfect Imagi-Nation troops. The pic also Shows the tip of a possible third Standard bearer which is a good indication sculpting of a full set is well under way

But it is also possible that the tip belongs to an officer.
