Strelets is going to create a new golden age of 1/72 plastics.

Usually I'm not fond of figures standing to attention, these are the exception.

We have "At Attention" "At Ease", "Marching" "In Advance" but no-one seems to be making "Lying Down" which the British did on the reverse slopes. How many times have we read of the British line standing up and surprising the advancing French column? :eh:

Of course you are right, FredG. But I think this is really a very special situation and it is not a pose everybody needs. If all other nations are standing "at attention" Mailands guards may lay down in face of the Old Guard. :-D :yeah:

I still think the "lying down" pose needs putting to bed.

Sorry!

Yes, I also could imagine a plethora of more desirable subjects in 1/72, but the Strelets team seems to favour an actually beaten path in this case (which they are perfectly entitled to do).

I won't blame them for their personal preferences as long as they equally keep creating figures for formerly unexploited or inadequately handled subjects & periods.

Anyway, very nice masters again. Strelets really became the leading 1/72-figures manufacturer in recent years.

- Lots of big moustaches so no good for Nappy Brit era - late 19th century?
- So many highland "men-in-skirts" sets already - so few actually wore that uniform
- "At Attention" must be the most boring, flat, easily casted useless type ever
- Strelets original mission statement: "Strelets was founded in 1998 to fill the gaps in the figure market that had previously had to be filled with conversions by collectors themselves" - Lost their way a bit I think....
