3 sets offer 34 figures in 14 poses, except for the Jägers which has 36 figures in 14 poses.
From what can be seen so far these are beautiful figures and they seem to be far superior to older ones from Esci or Hät.
As usually RedBox sets are available at very reasonable prices.

Hope these great looking Russians will be the starting point for a whole range of 1805-07 Napoleonics from RedBox!
They could easily dominate the earlier timeframe of the napoleonic wars by adding more Austrian, Russian, French and Prussian sets. This significant period is imho not adequately covered in 1/72 so far.

Now if only there were some sets specific to the Battle of Waterloo!

I have received the new sets yesterday. The figures are wonderful sculpted with many details. Their corpses are little more volumetric and less flat than many other former miniatures. The postures are very different, although some collectors would have wished eventually to have more marching or standing poses.

The only problem: you have to remove some flash and 2 sets have mostly the flash-lines above the faces, the other 2 are far less problematic with flash-lines outside the faces.

It would been wonderful, if Redbox will intend to produce some sets of russian line infantry for 1812/13 with the same qualities too.

In the meantime PSR managed to obtain some copies of the four mentioned RedBox releases.
Images of the figures are accessible at the "Awaiting Review" section since a few days now. :yeah:

As sansovino already noted, some figures have significant mold lines or even flash.
Sadly, this weakens this otherwise good looking sets to some degree.

Maybe I'm too picky, but I'm not impressed with figures shown on PSR photos.

As I do. Maybe it's the plastic they use, don't know yet. :eh:

Depends on which set one gets?
The quality of sculpting is very good, with nice detail everywhere and good work done on faces. There is no flash on the main figures, but we found a little on the command figures, especially round the officer’s spontoon. Also there is some plastic between musket and man on a couple of the poses, but no more than you find on many such sets.

We´ll have to see how the other sets fair under PSR´s eyes

Review for the Guards set is up:

PSR is an invaluable site but I’ve always found the reviews to be very uneven. A Strelets set with very unattractive figures will get a 9 rating in sculpting same as these figures which are imho much better.
