Redbox Russian Jäger

Posted by marc zijp on 25 Dec 2018, 17:02

I like them.
(another small thing, about the Russian Guard Infantry: I made a wrong remark. I thought I saw one marching pose, but he’s holding his musket in front of his chest, on Strelets a small discussion about wrong site shouldered musket, but that’s a wrong observation)
Two links to the Russian Jäger. Some more on vk forum.

I’m really surprised, again! And tomorrow probably another surprise. :-D
Redbox is the ideal company for producing good Infantry in firing line it seems.
Forget about those cavalry sets I’d say, just infantry!

No, I’m not. Pitty you don’t know me, then perhaps we could have a good laugh.
My inner circle all know I’m everything but a Wellington adept, with several hobbyhorses to underline that over and over again.
(e.g.: I always use ‘the battle of Mont-Saint Jean’ instead of you know what happened in 1815)

The uniforms seem to be completely indentical. Some Redbox have the normal shako, but that’s perfectly reasonable.
The heads made by Hät is another thing: they are rather large (and in my opinion a bit unattractive). That Hät 1806 line was that way: large heads, big noses and chins.
But if you can live with that there should not be a problem to mix.
(the size of Redbox products is always correct)

It looks like a first 1/72 set of figures I might buy after some long time.

I can't say that out loud in this part of the forum. My latest figures were 35mm
