I agree, Paul. They look well and useful for WWII dioramas and wargames. Hopefully can we expect that any manufacturer will produce modern civilians too? Surely, they also would be very useful for this period ;-)

Best regards. :-)

Santi.

Seems to me that the modeller, who made the old ODEMARS masters, is back and created these ones now. What do you think?

Civilians not in the level of Dapol/ Airfix, but hey ! Civilians around the 30, 40ies.
NICE !

And they start to compost in the Dio. :o
A 100% Ecological product.
... made with bio-degradable plastic.
is written on the Hegemony link.

And I can´t believe myself, I do an order for that. :eh:
Hopefully I get the figures earlier as the maggots get in.

No way! I'm spoiled by Preiser.
Wait!... "Rest of the world 14.99 GBP" for 24 figures? Thanks... I would rather buy noname figures in "Aliexpress". Quality is similar, but I can buy THOUSAND of figures for the same price. 8)

I have to confess that I don´t like these clumsy miniatures. He has to improve the sculpting, otherwise he won´t find many buyers.

Very nice to see the results of a guy actually using his hands to create and produce small scale figures.
With respectful ideas his range could widen out and his production methods and quality control could certainly blossom. So it would certainly be interesting to have him visit this Forum again.

Therefore ,Thank you for posting this item Paul.BB

I agree.

MicroWorld wrote:

Yes, this is the next downside.

And there are two points that are positive for me.
The first and most important is that these are civil figures in my timeline.
If you compare these figures with Hegemony earlier set (Long range dessert group) there is an improvement in sculpting.
The LRDG will fit in my timeline too. But I pass it. Because of , see at sansovino.
And my hope, wish is that this improvement will still go on.
So I order this figures for an (put here an ugly word that the Mods can`t accept in) price.

Well chosen words.

I give Hegemony a try.

How did you determine this? I don't see civilians. I even don't see a humans. I see humanoid-like pieces of plastic with NON-humanoid faces:

Let's compare it with 57-years-old Airfix:

Old Airfix looks better... But remember: FIFTY SEVEN YEARS passed!!! Anybody heard about "technical progress"? Forget! Now we have a "technical degradation".
No mercy to "Hegemony" from me!

your opinion is not so far way of mine. Maybe you are right.
I will (if they will find the way to me finally) compare it with three Airfix figures I own that you show us.

If you compare Hegemony figures with Airfix figures.

This is Hegemony his third or fourth set.

Airfix first figure sets are replaced back in time by Airfix.

And Airfix latest set 01736 British WWII Infantry made in 2011.

Plastic Soldier Review wrote about it:
... Where we were disappointed - very disappointed - was in the general look of these figures, which are thin and weedy with poorly sculpted weapons. For a better example of how these troops actually appeared Airfix need do no more than look at their own 1/32 sets, and indeed in many ways a scaled-down version of them would have been preferable - can you imagine that? Perhaps expectations were too high - it has after all been a generation since they last sculpted figures, and the economics and realities of manufacturing today are very different from the 1980s, but there are plenty of great sets being made these days, and while like most people we desperately wanted the new Airfix to be up to their best standards they simply are not. ...

I feel not to be the defender of the Hegemony figure sets.
They fit in my timeline of modelling. I see a clear improvement to there first and second set.
I give Hegemony a try.

Also, you could do head swaps if you don't care for the style of the faces.

Yes the burr is so thick as you can see in the pic !

Image
This is the best face of the whole set. And it is better done as the Hät ones.

What should I write?
The reality.
These is NOT the same quality as shown on Hegemony side or PSR.

I am not disappointed by the faces or the details. I was aware of it.
I am disappointed that I do not get the figure quality as shown in the internet !!!
Far too much burr at some figures. Some are always by each manufacturer. Because of the process. Ok.
But this amount is out of acceptance for me.
The next is that figures (the arms of the "hands up" man or the shovel) are not full of material.
This could happen to all manufacturer. At thin parts !
Some figures you don`t know where the base end or the figure arise.

It is easy to sit here and criticize. To do it better is so much harder.
But this is a unfinished pre run sold as a product.

I am very sorry to write that.

Well it was a good concept. Hopefully Hegemony will keep trying and improve the quality of the next few sets.
