Camels perhaps but Gauloises and Gitanes are more likely seeing as they were produced a couple of years before Camel

On PSR:
New FFL on the march
Strelets have announced a new set of French Foreign legion. This one is of men on the march, and will include both men on foot and mounted on camels. The time period is thought to be the 1920s, and the Rif War in particular.

Well, I suppose, considering the diameter of a camel, it would be possible for a 1/72nd bod to sit astride one...

The completed figures for the regular set #174 "Nap. Prussian Infantry on the march" are revealed now.

12 marching grunts and 5 command poses. So 41 figures in total. :yeah:

Agreed. The amount of command is Ok if one is producing a reg using all 40 but the sets would be more versatile/economical for the buyer if they could be used to create two regs @ 20 per reg.
Problem is with the ACW Union and Napoleonic british sets..only one command sprue with only one Standard bearer per sprue. One Standard bearer per sprue means having to convert to get two.

Just wished they gave few command and more ordinary troopers. All those extra flagbearers are useless and only good if you can convert them to dead.
With other words: there are diorama makers in this world too. ;-)

The Problem isn´t too many command, they can´t give less than they already do...it´s there´s not enough, particularily with the Standard bearers. If there were 4 sprues each containing a command then there would be too many command and too few rankers but this isn´t the case with the strelets sets. One more command sprue to each set would satisfy both wargamers and dio makers.

Not enough camels, it's pretty difficult to convert a standard bearer to a camel too :( and visa versa also. :eh:

I see you don’t get my point nor my attempt to make a (small) joke about wanting more staff. As a diorama maker I really don’t want to have more staff than this and I think this is a good compromis between those different group of customers.
So I’m glad with the current lay-out of Strelets sets. :-D :yeah:

On the Napoleonic set the uniformity of marching step with the right leg leading gets my vote.

Whereas collecting 28mm scale napoleonic poses are a bloomimg mess as my topic has revealed.
