Thanks for sharing the good news. :yeah:

The link to Strelets site shows 6 more poses.
Means that this “regular“ set (# 158) will include at least 40 figures in 20 lively and natural poses.
In 1/72, ACW really is on a winning streak lately!

The poses are stunning, not my thing but I have bought several of the ACW sets, looks like this one will be added to the others I have bought.

There are some very different and lifelike poses here and the guy creeping along is superb. Those extra figure are looking good too.

More ideas for re fights, oh no.

Bought most of the recent ACW sets from Strelets, painted a few then put them away. I just dont know why but they're not any good, cant put my finger on why. These do look great but this time I'm very sceptical...The best hope for ACW is still the HaT sets but who knows when they arrive...

Those guys look like they could make decent Boers if you swapped the rifles out.

These guys have the stone wall, and I picture them pouring down lead a plenty onto lines of Northern advancing infantry. `Gods and Generals ' The two opposing Irish Brigades. What a scene of utter madness. BB

Hello

I am not in ACW, but these guys have a real good modification potential. Boers has been mentioned, but with a little carving and milliput you can use them for wide periods, nearly all of the 19th century, civilian uprisings, with hats changed and trousers adapted they could be transformed into Tyrolians. There are many possibilities for early shooters and hunters (and not only Cowboys).
I have a question about the extra figures. There is one casualty on the flag, one kneeling shooting like last stand, one blessed sitting. The other three guys? One either drinking or sounding but it's just a tube (OK can be transformed into anything), the guy running with the ball and waving a hand? And then the guy pushing some not presented item towards the ground. Does anyone have an idea where these figures were inspired?
Thanks for any input
Michael

Hello Michael!

I think one is blowing a horn - which might not be ready at the moment. And the other one might be carrying a drum maybe...

I am really happy to see this set. These figs are very useful!

Bugler ?

The "ball" is a Drum. Looking at the sculpt, it appears as if he will be lying on his back.

Giving comfort/aid to a fallen comrade perhaps

Hello Jan and Paul,

thank you for your replies.
Certainly, the blowing stick is an unfinished bugle. However, I like drinking bods a lot and sometimes convert bugles into bottles (so much for me as a musician)
The guy with the "ball" - also I must admit the drum is a much better guess. I still think he will be running though. Maybe there was a kind of scene when a signal drummer of officier with drum ran to the fihting field to announce truce or something. I was hoping our Amercian friends know of such events or pictures.
Well, we'll see (this set will be popular - I hope I'll be able to get one)
