New secret Strelets sets!

Posted by Zed1 on 16 Dec 2017, 14:51

Hey guys - I just received a set of the new Strelets 1/72 Highlanders.

What's interesting about it is that there is a list of upcoming sets on the side of the box, which are not even mentioned on the Strelets website. It says:

154 US Infantry charging
155 Pickett's Charge 3
158 Confederate Skirmishing
160 US infantry in Defence
168 Landwehr on the March
169 Landwehr Standing at Ease
170 Old Guard Standing at Ease
171 Old Guard at Attention

...and due to the quality that Strelets' figures have reached so far, I believe that there's finally a set of Prussian Landwehr I'd like to have...

I surely hope they will do the French greatcoats right.
On the first pictures a while ago on the Strelets forum the coats were too long and the frontsite at the bottom had turnbacks. Like the French WW1 coats.
Useless for me and I guess all others.
But Strelets is doing a very fine job so looking forward to it.
French line infantry was also mentioned with picture (fusilier?), so great future with my ‘if’.

That would be the cream on the cake if they produced ACW artillery sets
