Those into fantasy figures for games,or just presenting oddities, the heavy machine gun team could certainly cut down to ancient dust size, those creepy Edyptian Mummies. Lets call it The Walking Dead Shredder! :-D BB

I have a question concerning the rifles since my knowledge in British rifles are very limited. Are they the SMLE Mk III?
They look more like No.4 Mk I introduced during WWII, with a different look around the barrel end where the barrrel protrudes from the stock, not the blunt end as on the earlier Mk III:s.

It doe`s indeed look like the sculptor has got the rifles wrong, but an easy fix, he has also chosen not to use a water container and hose for the vickers, both errors are hard to understand given that the are right on some other recent Strelets sets, still I will be buying them and doing a few minor tweaks to get them right,

Here my 50 Cent to the topic.
Today a review about two new sets in 1/72. Let's go to the desert. But not only to the time of Lawrence of Arabia. Maybe there is a opponent for my beloved Foreign Legion in 1/72.
Have fun with the report.
Report in german and english.

Alan doesn't call them rebels which is correct. The Sharifian army was composed of regulars and irregulars and these of course are the irregulars. They did have a lot of Turkish weapons and as time went on more so and many of the regulars were erstwhile members of the Ottoman army.
Cutting off the protruding muzzle of the No 4 would make it a bit short as the difference was about 3mm (reality) longer with the MkIII in other words almost identical lengths in our scale and the barrels were identical lengths. The Vickers water jacket looks a bit under scale in diameter though I would reserve judgement until I see it in the "flesh" as often a coat or two of paint can make a difference. The rubber hose and collecting vessel ( a flimsie) were not essential to firing but in the Middle East water conservation would be an issue . BTW the sights on a Vickers are offset to the left looking from trigger end and the sights were a an aperture not a dove tail so the gunners head was a bit closer and the rear sight had a bar that lifted up for long range shots which is what this gunner seems to be doing.
