Hi Mabo, thanks for the info, I missed these previews on PSR.
I will probably buy the two rerefences. They are a welcome addition to the miniart Swiss, and It may become possible to build a 15th century swiss army.

The standing on guard pose is very good for perhaps Gateway, Bridge and Battlement display.
The fantasy figure with flag, pointed ears and horns is a rare oddity, that I suppose few would care to use so perhaps a hot pin head-swop under local anesthetic is possable. :eh: " EH!"

They all look to be very clean cast figures, that I`m sure will be a delight for many to mix in with other active makes of figures. I just recently bought the Strelets English Longbowmen & the English Men at Arms figures so it seems medieval figures always a clear favourite to many are on the up again in the hobby.
Although here one has to buy two boxes for a full set of figures,as there is only 24 figures in each box. So double the money for the extra cost of one cardboard box which is a very good mark up in profits for the producers, and fat cat E Bay Sellers of high priced boxes of Postage Included. Which is a total rip off for those wanting to buy several boxes of each.

I will shop at Moddle Hobbies,to get a much better deal. BB

i like figure sets from this period, and i will get a few boxes.but having 9 out of 48 total figures be flagbearers,or drummers seems a little much.

"The fantasy figure with flag, pointed ears and horns is a rare oddity,"

I believe it is a genuine representation of an actual standard bearer from that period. I seem to remember that the Funckens did an illustration of one in the 70's, and they took it from a contemporary illustration. I may have mis-recalled this but I am pretty sure the figure is kosher.

Overall I like this set, some useful figures.

Well! Apparently, accoording to Matelot on Strelets the figure is not authentic. And these images are based on 19thC images - and the lord knows I have cursed the Victorians enough times over the years.

If you read this Matelot, I would love to see the images you have posted previously, so that I may learn the error of my ways.

It is easier to believe that horned guy is a flight of fancy as opposed to something that actually appeared on a real battlefield. Thanks to all who labored over the issue in this thread, interesting stuff, I say.

I thought it was your local shop in Fiddlewood, Moddlewood. :-D

I like the figures, but I will have to wait before I buy them.

I've heard that they're planning to produce only limited number of these sets so don't wait for a long time :)
