Waterloo 1815 set AP056

Posted by gbvarese on 21 Mar 2017, 19:40

Dear Forumers,

I've been at the Model Expo Torino last Sunday, where I met Mr. Pierini, the owner of Waterloo 1815. I bought the above mentioned set, which contains soldiers of bothAP061 & AP062 sets, along with the following 4 new command figures: dismounted officer, mounted officer, drummer and standard bearer. He hadn't advertised this new set earlier, and it was a pleasing surprise finding it there.

I attach some shots of such new figures.

I would be pleased to have your comments.

Regards. Giovanni

Dear Arkoudaki,

You are right: the officer's hat is too small and the drum hasn't got the right size, even if we have worse examples among the various sets currently on the market. What to do? I have some spare drums of Airfix's hussars, which can take the place of those wrong. Concerning the hat, you can remodel it with Milliput.

Ciao. Giovanni.

You would be better of head swapping the foot officers head with one of right size and that's good idea about the drum like it

Gianni,

As per my post of 19th Feb, photos of the complete contents of the set can be seen here:

I bought them from La Figurine Plastique at the time.

Dear All,

The answer and the set shown on the link reported by Justin are correct. With regard to Italy I believe that the set can be bought on line through Waterloo 1815 web site: http://www.hatitalywaterloo.it/

I think think the mounted officer is probably one of the nicest I have ever seen, possibly a bit too relaxed to be in battle, but very nice all the same.
