Posted by davbenbak1 on 21 Apr 2016, 12:49

I saw pics of some Russian Guard Grenadiers posted on anther site. Are they new or just new to me? I suppose I could go back and post the link.

These figures are sculpts from Leonid Primochenko, a member here on Benno's ("Leon"). If you send him a PM he can give you more information. I've got a bunch of these myself and they're great; the sculpting is top-notch and they fit in well with just about everything else produced in 1/72.

Yes, I have seen his posts so I was surprised to see these on another site before seeing them here...unless I missed them the first time. I'm not a huge fan of Zvezda "Art of Tactic" figures as opposed to there regular large box line but it's always useful to have more command figures. So you're saying these match up well?

I needed Russians for my Borodino-project, for variety and the jägers, so I bought Leons' Borodino Russians. They match up very very well, service is good from Leon, as are the prices. I specially advice the Russian Jäger, as there is no (good) set in this scale. As I speak they're standing aside me and I look it them several times a day :-).
Considering to buy more Russians guard.

These Russian Guard Grenadiers are available via Hagen Miniatures, they were presented by Uwe Wild on his blog.

Thanks for the link. This is a much better option that the Zvezda Art of Tactic command pieces.
