Thanks for sharing. I was already thinking of a project: the Jewish revolt and Roman siege of Jerusalem after I read the fantastic book 'The Jewish War' by Josephus who took part himself in the events.

Now we have to wait for some more active poses depicting Jewish religious fanatics defending the city. The Ceasar set is partly useful for this but depicts an earlyer period.

To my surprise two of the pose look familar to me.
I bought that at Hagen Miniatures (If i rememer correctly) under the belt of CW Miniatures.


Anyway. It is nice to see a new set of useful civil figures from Linear-A.

I thought it is clear that he is the same guy how produced the sets. Maybe he would like to start a new page in the book of company history with better quality figures?
And by the way, I thought as well that you know that. And like wiking I find it interesting to see one figure looking very much like the priest that you have in your old shop times ago.

I have also Bearer and the Arc (but not in stock at time) .... and it is maybe, that you can buy the both miniatures (priests) over 2nd hand from different places.

But the idea for this set from Linear-A with civil Figures is great and I hope they made more

I'm not so deep involved; but your thinking is maybe... the quality is better

I was surprised, as I have saw the pictures from the Linear-A-Set, but I could see now, that both miniatures are have smal differences. I think, that Linear-A made new masters for the production and it gives smal differences in the finest details from the miniatures.

Maybe is also, that the owner (a collector) from the (old) priests gave the company (Linear-A) the approval for the production in plastic - I don't know, because I'm not the owner from the (old) priests.
I have only the approval from the owner (both old priests) for to production in metal.

Actually both figures seem to be inspired by drawing of master Peter Connolly in book "living in time of Jesus of Nazareth". If some permission or copyright must be taken in account shoul be that.

That both miniature sets have these figures can be casual, because of same inspiration source

A few days ago I ordered the first figure set of Linear A.
They arrived today.

Strange. No wrapping at all. I thought alwasy that the box (Who is brand new unfolded!) is for protection all around of the product inside.


This figure is on one tree loose. I think it is not a problem that the set arrived unboxed.
Because it was the same place same figure on both spures. I bend the figure a little to see it better.


Comparson with CW, Airfix, ESCI and the bottom row is CW; NIKOLAI, CÄSAR as good as my spare box can do for the nearly same timeline.

In my opinion there is nothing outstanding.
You have to glue or use a pin to fix the riding man. This is usual.

Con:
At five of the nine standing figure pose is plastic between the legs.

Pro:
The small woman.
The sitting man.
This is rarely.

All in all a nice set. That fit into my Arabic world of the 1930-43 here and there.

I have to add that the smal girl as described in my post above is a boy with phylacteries. Say the backside of the box.

Hello Sho,
As seen in the pic earlier the plastic is more on the harder end of soft plastic. Like IMEX.

Casting is good as described. But not between the legs of some figure.
Look at the pic four posts up.
The details are on the softer side.

My opinion as an average figure painter:
For a highlight single or a two, three figure Dio it is not the first choice. Due tue the lack of fine engraving.
Work good for mass scene or as background figure.
