Sorry to be the devils' advocate again.
And to make it clear - I would never ever be able to do sculptings like that, it's truly a great piece of craftsmanship.

But the horses are way too small in comparizon to their riders. Even cossack horses, which were usually of a smaller, shaggy race, would have been a bit larger.
Would it be possible to provide these riders with adequate horses? Pleeeaaaase. :-)

You are rigth, but only partially. Not horses are small but riders are big. "Big 18mm" as Paulalba says. True 18mm.
Next figures will be smaller.. 16mm. "Small 18mm". I try to avoid sculpting in "big 18" in future..

Splendid work, Yes Indeed . Painted ones on the Link look Great! A War Gamers delight I would think. Sorry to say I can no longer paint them this small,but Gosh! I like your work. BB
