Almost like the Mad Hatter, :winky:
I congratulate myself upon having lots of Happy Un-birthdays,
as I roll upon my way throughout the turning points of my year.

I Thank You One and All,
For your kind sentiments expressed on my Birthday date.

Yesterday
The day itself arrived with myself being in a haze,
of not knowing who I was?
Or where I was?
However I soon realized!
And was most relieved I was in Fiddle Wood with my Mrs B.

Sleep
How I do hate those little visits,
snippets of death upon a daily bases.
I hate to realise I have slept for a third of my long life.
What a common waste we all resign ourselves to do.
with little choice upon the matter.

Birthdays

1957
Upon this childhood Birthday, I awoke and there upon my bed was an envelope containing a glittery card with a huge golden 8. I made my way down the stairs and there at the bottom of them near the front door stood my Aunt Kitty, and my Mother Grace Liddy. They were the most Dearest ones in my life at that time along with my older Brother Ron. "Cor! I got a golden card Mom.", I remember saying vividly. Both acted completely surprised.
There was no Present, and it being not expected I thought little of it then and even now. Yes deeply ingrained within me,
I will always recall those days of endless poverty.
However I will always remember being Eight* and that golden numbered card.

1969, Another birthday i spent feasting over a tiny tin of Sardines, with my friends in the jungle of Belize I had just turned 20. Over the past two months i had kept the tin especially for that day. The four of use got each near enough one little fish covered in oily tomato sause. Bleeding lovely, bones and guts went smoothly down, and we all dipped our fingers into that oblong tin. It sure was a heck of a treat. We shared a Budweiser supplied by others in Uncle Sams Service. One of them `R Perez', would become a lifetime friend. Later that day we were invited to a rather odd style barbeque on board a C130 aircraft while it flew B Squadron State side on our way home. Crazy Yanks, everyone got high on what they were smoking. It was a real Ball!

Thanks again guys.
You are all Gems in my model making life here on Benno`s Figure Forum.
A place I am thankful enough for finding. BB
