What do you do for fun, beside 1/72 scale?

Posted by Peter on 10 Mar 2015, 20:13

Besides painting figures, reading books and watching movies, I collect the special 2 euro coins! ;-)

And I still miss a lot of them, so if someone gets the feeling to help me, you are more as welcome! :-D

I've collected vinylrecords for a couple of years. Have one wall (about 3000-4000 lps) and that will have to be enough (pics on facebook under "Hemma"). Had a little band going for a couple of years. Too much rock'n'roll to get anywhere (a lot of different lineups and two guys no longer among us). If anyone wants a CD I can try to send it. But we have some tunes out on MySpace ( https://myspace.com/tributetothebunker ) (also pics on facebook under "Musik"). Nowadays I walk the dog most of my free time. A boxer and to keep him happy we must have different walks and at the minimum 5 kilometers each day. Keep me healthy I think. :-D And a missus with severe MS keeps me sober.

Me playing a very rare solo:

The cover of the compilation-CD I made when the guy I started the band with died. Terrible sound quality, but I like it.

And me and my dog:

Wait a minute, Arlin Tawzer. Quite active at Hat some years ago? Did you make the drawings on some of the Airfix rereleases as well as the Babylonian army?

Writing what?

Not wargames' rules?

I've written a SYW set for fun.

Listening to some of your songs, Arlin, makes me miss my old six-stringed banjo. Even went into a musicshop today just to drool over one. :-D But wasn't there a Hat box of Babylonian army in the style of the old Airfix boxes?

@Greg Congratulation
As for me I am also a history fanatic, since I do not accept the way people in my country see history(thru eyes of an epic poetry)...I found out many interesting things that relax me...Now when Greg mentioned he got a child, I made an important discoveries about drastic baby booms at my homeland...For example from 1717 to 1739 when we were under Austrian rule, number of people got from 240 thousand to 400 thousand...

Do remember that joke. It was very fun to see the old Airfix styled drawings. A very good laugh!

Thanks guys for the gratulations... :)

hodude wrote:Yes, congratulations! You kind of just snuck that announcement in there. Boy or girl?

A girl..!
so.. two little princesses at home.
I am afraid the 1/72 or other hobbies are in the background for a while ( no worries about my part in the BFFWP -they are finnished, only the packaging and posting 'em to Jan left to the next week ;-) )
Cheers

If I have spare time and I'm not painting, I'm wargaming. (Which is why I paint 1/72's to begin with.) I'll try to post After Action Reports and some pics of my next ECW game that I am running at a convention on the 28th. Kind of glad to see the "Wargaming" forum get it's own section.
