Hi, friends!
I promised to continue tell about me in the past post. And I add some photos. I think It would be very good if all our members post own photos :-)

At the beginning I collected unpainted soldiers and used them for playing with my father. We hadn't special gamesystem and we used homerules. I started to paint soldiers when I was near 13 years old. I tried to paint comparatively big armies for different periods. In the main I formed Ancient, Medieval and Napoleonic armies. When I achieved good painting, I finished collecting armies. Since that time I make nly artistic work.

Besides miniature painting I have other hobbies. For example, I take part in the WWII reenaction for Red Army. So I have good knoweledges about Russian uniforme during 1st half of ХХ cen. And I always glad to help you, if you will have questions about this theme. My friends and me reenacts soviet riflemans. But now, we want change reeancted period from WWII to WWI. I hope, soon we wiil reenact Russian Imperial Army and "White Army" of the RCW. May be our wifes will join to us :-)

At last, some photoes :-)
My best comrades Igor and Eugenij and me in Stalingrad (that reenaction took place at one of deserted Stalingrad factory). I'm in the centre :-)

Thanks for the interesting infos. The reenactment picture is very lifelike. My first impression was, that is is really 72 years old.

Thank you, Jan! Our reenaction club try to have authetic appearance. We don't spare our uniform and ammunition and ourselves for realistic an beat-up appearance like in real warfare :-)

Hey, wanted to introduce myself. I've been a collector and painter and war-gamer all my life I've just started to collect and paint Napoleonic in 1/72 scale after a 30 year break. I've followed links to this forum many times and been blown away by the standard of work, so have decided to join and try to up my game a bit!

I've collected every scale going in the past but 1/72 plastic Napoleonics have a really emotional pull for me, being what I was collecting and painting when I was 12/13/14. Looking forward to learning a lot and hopefully sharing my work..... if I can get it up to scratch....

Hey everyone: Since I've just posted my first topic on this forum I'd like to introduce myself;
My name is Pieter. I'am from Arnhem Holland and only took op scale modelling recently after having done nothing for over 35 years...!!! Trying out different things and scales I quickly found 1/72 suits me best. Starting again where I left off as a kid my main interest is collecting and painting American nineteenth century figures.{not to say; cowboys and indians!}.
Over the last months I've also been building small dioramas. Still learning all the time!
Lately I've been taking Pictures of my efforts and slowly build up the confidence to start posting!
I'am a great fan of this forum and I hope to post frequently in the future...
Kind regards Pieter

Hello, dear friends of little figures ,

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Torsten. 8) I am 47 years old and a modelmaker/sculptor from Germany (Dessau-Roßlau, Saxony-Anhalt). Actually I have discovered the modeling of animal figures in 1/72- and 00-scale for myself. I had started with planes and military vehicles, always in 1/72-scale. I have loved this hobby always, but it had to stop because of work for several years. I have worked as head of a health facility - until I was sick of it. Currently I am trying to find a new way for me. I hope sculpting can help me. Or maybe even be a part of my professional future. Believe me, health is very valuable! During the last weeks I have worked on several sets of dogs and wild boars, even domestic cats and foxes I designed. I like them. However, when I see the Master of Alex or entrauner, I doubt regularly to me. :( Nevertheless it would be a great honor to present my work here. Maybe I'll find interested modelers and collectors who would like to build with my sculptures. I am also convinced that I can still learn a lot here and i hope to improve my skills in the english language too!

I am pleased to be here!

Regards
Torsten
