Hail thee,

i am Thorsten Brandes from germany and found this forum via a friend who said it's worth to have a look in what's going on in 1/72 scale.

I am 49 years old and i am playing around with tabletop and model making since my childhood. My main scale is the 28mm tabletop standard and the main themes are science fiction and fantasy.
At this time i am heavily addicted to 3D sculpting, scanning and printing. I also love to cast silicon molds for my models. If you know hirstarts stones that's another one of my hobbies. Buildings out of plaster cast stones.

I have a small part time business called "Falkenwelt Modellbau" to finance my hobby by selling stuff to the community. This is also because i have not much space and need to get rid of the many bigger projects.

At the moment i am doing a deep dive in 1/72 cause i have a diorama project for roman 1/72 models. With 3D printing it is possibly to do some "scale down" printings of stuff that was originally designed for a bigger scale or vice versa.

I dare to share a kickstarter link with my own fantasy dwarfs as an example of all the possibly scales from 15mm to 280mm).

Hope you like it.

I go by TwoGunBob but the people that put their meat mittens on me call me Jamie. Friend advised I join up as I'm starting in on 1/72 for Caesar Rampant and Infamy Infamy (when the Lardies see fit to release it). No 1/72 pics yet as I just started basing the Gauls.
Last project was over 300 54mm figures for my American Civil War project that I'll be taking around Texas for the next few years.

Also dabble in 28's on a regular basis. Dragon Rampant game in December as we closed the year out.

Glad to be here and will be posting my progress as I start crunching my way through the Romans and Gauls.

Hi everybody!

This is Ed, I am from Spain and I live in Madrid. After a lot of time lurking the forum (it's a great place for inspiration and ideas) I have decided to share and participate.

I am 44 years old, married with two small daughters, so in recent times my free time to be spent in miniatures is very, very little ;)

It all begun when my brother and me were children and we used to buy cheap Airfix toy copies, as many other spanish hobby mates will sure remember. :)

They were basically rough copies inside an envelop (with nice art work), and with no much historical accuraccy because Airfix range was used for all nations and conflicts, but they provided countless hours of fun and playing on the carpet.

If curious, you can see many pictures of them here:

https://www.forocoches.com/foro/showthr ... ?t=3440985

Next, while living in Belgium in the 80's our father bought us our first model kits: 1/76 American, Germans, 8th Army, DAK from Mathchox, and the first airplane kit: a Buffalo. Since them we have collected and painted 1/72 plastic figures.

I am also a little bit in several things: games, RPG, wargames, models and also 28mm, 10mm and 6mm scale figures.

And that's all in a nutshell! I will post some pics of games and miniatures as soon as I can.

Take care
Ed
