Sorry to here that Peter, cannot make FIGZ this year. However, wherever he will be on that day I hope all goes well for him. I sincerely hope the Workshop goes well without any name dropping!

I am very excited about the figure sculpting workshop! I don't suppose anyone could video-record it for a humble novice who lives an ocean away and has two small boys not quite ready for international travel??

List updated, I guess Jan brings his son and Andrea brings his daughter again.
Looking forward to see you both!

Thanks Paul (BB), the Asterix and a every year bigger Romain Army will be there as well.
Sorry Aaron, I don't have a film camera, hope to be at the workshop my self, but not sure to promise film or pictures by me (always a busy day) but in our mind everybody is with us.

P.S. If there are members who want to show a figure and can't make it.
You can sent the figure to me, and it will be placed on a table with your (forum)name.

FIGZ 2019 FIGURE SCULPTING WORKSHOP

Dear all, in this years FIGZ workshop we will make our own 1/72 scale wire&putty figurine.

Image

The workshop is accessible to everyone who is interested in making figurines from scratch as well as conversions of existing ones.

The workshop comes in two parts:

Part one:
11:00 am to 12:30 pm: making a copper wire frame, coating it with putty to create the basic pose of your figurine.

Part two:
15:00 pm - 16:30 pm: sculpting body, clothing and equipment over the basic frame.

Feel free to join one part or both of them.
I will introduce different sculpting putties like Green Stuff, Magic Sculpt and Tamiya Epoxy Putty.

You can bring your own tools or you can use mine. A tools list will be published here next month.
A financial contribution of 5 euro's per workshops part is appreciated to support the expenses of the FIGZ show.

If you are interested in joining the workshop please let us know, here in this topic.

Kindest regards,

Cryns

I am unable to attend FIGZ this year, but will be there in spirit. This workshop topic is exactly what I have been looking for. If anyone is able to film it and put it on YouTube I think it would be a hit.
