Did you need a Tojan horse? Check here.

I thought I would share this cool find, its a little extra, not needed but something to look good on a shelf, yet for 1/72 this printed plastic Troy Horse is pretty cool. And rare to have such accessories. It also looks like it will be really fun to paint and give a centerpiece to any battle display.

I found it on ebay, just search Troy Horse. The scale is perfect for 1/72

Any Perfect recommended primers for this type of plastic 3d printing? Thank you.

Some years ago, i so wanted a Trojan Horse. Sadly, I've moved on from that project but this is such a nice & useful model.

Supercool, that you can open the horse to hide the warriors. Great find!

When I search Troy Horse, I end up with lawnmower parts.

Hey Howlin,
nice horse, and certainly spectacular to use on display. Concerning primer I would try any established solvent primer.
If the 3D print is made from filament it is either ABS or PLA (poly lactic acid) resin, the latter easily discernible by its smell. If it is made from powder it is polyamide and if it is made from liquid resin with UV (laser) curing it is acrylic. In all cases solvent borne primers (whihc have good solvent stink and get you high :-) ) are best adapted. If you definitely know which resin you can specify even better.
Greetings
Michael

Before this model, the only one available in 1/72 since the 1970s scale (as far as I know) was the Atlantic horse.

Yes correct. And in contrast to all of their figures the horse seems to be no trash. But I never saw them for sale anywhere.

here is a link to his listing, unfortunately the USA tariffs added another 19.81 to the cost I did not anticipate, and prices went up a bit.

Its PLA, thank you for the detailed response. I generally like to stick to safe acrylic type paints.
