Valiant Miniatures re-scaled?

Posted by Harry Faversham on 06 Nov 2021, 13:25

I got a box of Valiant British Infantry the first week they came out, the same week that very nice man Mr. Colin Rumford, assured me British Airborne were in the pipeline!
Well since then we've all grown old, fat, and grey but sadly still no Paras. Thing is now, my spies tell me Valiant figures have been scaled down to fit in with everybody else's toy sowjers. Does this mean my original box from back in the day won't mix if I glean some new ones?

:eh: :( :eh:

Now this would interest me as I am no fan of their "too big" figures & never bought any.

The point would be, if you order some now, how do you know you're getting the smaller figures?

The 'big' figures are excellent, but they are... big!
Sadly, that's wot you'll still get if you order from Valiant. The 20mm figures were a short term thing called 'Fighting 20s', they never caught on.

I bought once their german set, and was astonished at their size! a pity, really. They are more 28mm than 1:72. I think they were short for 28mm, and too big for 25mm!

If I was them, I would reissue them in both 25mm and 28mm, making happy both kinds of collectors, not annoying both!

For the one who don`t know.
The left from your point of few the brown one is ESCI 1 /72 the right one is Valiant 1/ (up to you).

I did not own since that scale joke her so called 20mm figures.
They joke with me exactly one time with this OVERSCALED set.

Sorry Valiant that is not for me the way of serious business.

What I would like to see now, is a comparison with a 28 mm figure. Is there someone who can do this?

Because of the scale issue, I never had the slightest interest in Valiant miniatures. Curious decision to make them that way.
