I'm allways in for new things. And there are some members here who do steampunk. I was thinking on Carlos for example.

I know just about enough about Steampunk to know that it's an interesting and imaginative 'place' with masses of potential.

To my mind though, surely this is an opportunity to use what is there and be imaginative and creative? I am thinking in terms of steampunk military themes, using existing figures, artillery etc for various 19th century conflicts (Crimean, colonial, ACW etc). These, coupled with an excursion into hard plastic kits - to provide bits and pieces, and including components from railway model kits made by the likes of Dapol - would, I am sure, provide scope for the hardware.

I do have a project 'for the future' which I simply call '1868' and which is for an imaginary conflict a few years before the Franco-Prussian war; figures include some from existing FPW ranges (eg: Emhar) but also bits and pieces which I have picked up cheaply, surplus artillery from old and now redundant HaT Napoleonic sets etc. I was not thinking of '1868' as a steampunk project...but maybe??

More into punk than steam, but I've read a couple of novels and it's a fun concept even though I don't really need more stuff for myself. Wait a minute ... I'll edit that .... we ALWAYS need more stuff for ourselves. Sorry bout that mindslip.

The Miniatures are now post-apocalyptic... 12 miniatures
They are now on my workplace and after they are painted, I will post them

After these both sets, a new set is now in pre-work... medieval/Renaissance with the hope, that more collectores are really interest to get this set and for to neutered more dogs in Romania ...

Interesting topic. I think somebody displayed a steampunk wargame here sometime ago, with mostly Crimean War figures. Can't find it anymore, though.
What we definitely need are some 19th century civilian figures, perhaps suitable for the Paris commune of 1871, or earlier revolutionaries. This should also include an adequate portion of armed women.
