1/72 WW2 (Africa / Med)

Posted by Fireymonkeyboy on 24 Jun 2019, 11:39

Hi all,

I'm looking to get into playing 1/72 Bolt Action with my boy, likely In the Med theatre (as he wants Canadians, and I don't want to do Normandy). I know about PSR, and we're using it to track down infantry, but is there an equivalent resource out there for vehicle kits? Something that provides reviews and content pictures for kits?

Any advice along this line would be much appreciated, please, and if anyone had experience with the scale and theatre, I'd appreciate any hints or tips you have to offer.

Many thanks,

FMB

When it comes to 1/72 vehicle kits the two following sites are essential and extremely useful.

https://www.onthewaymodels.com/index.html
(great for reviews, comparisons and construction reports)

https://henk.fox3000.com/new.htm
(excellent overview of whats generally available)

It may need a minute to get used to navigate the specific layouts, but it will be well worth the effort.

Theres a good number of nice kits available for WWII Med theatre.
Italeri/Esci, Dragon, Mirage, IBG, S-Model, Revell, Academy, ICM, Roden, Trumpeter ...

Happy modeling!
