WWI pilots in 1/72?

Posted by Traveller1865 on 26 May 2019, 17:03

Was a bit surprised to see that a lot of Airfix and Revell WWI aircraft kits didn't come with pilots! So my questions are:
does the orion WWI set seated pilots work with airfix kits? They don't look too good though..Are there other WWI pilots in plastic or resin that fit the airfix sets? I found some on ebay that looked good but was pricey..

yes the DDS set is what I was thinking of. Great to hear they fit. Bought these on ebay but assembly required.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PJ-Productio ... SwqNxck51-

Would be nice if SPEIRA do some WW I pilots sitting (with glasses and with glasses not in use) or a pilot who step in the plane.

Black Army Models do a pilot with "gaps" where the glass should be. To fill it with clear resin or clear coat I think.

?, Hm ...
I don`t know why.
I do all to import the pic as usual. I can see my pic.

The pic shows WWI pilots with googles
in use,
over the eyes
and in use but there are holes to fill with clear resin.

The Black Army modells figure is not for WW1, it is from the 1930s period

The chap in the left hand corner, looking a bit like Kenneth Moore would make a superb Eighth Army tanker.

He does look like Keneth Moore, well spotted.

The colours are all wrong for a RN Leiutenant in the Med though.
