Roland Kupski Lecture

Posted by Mr. Cryns on 15 Oct 2016, 11:57

I found this quote by Frankzett in another topic about some violent Vikings.

Some years ago at the syposium (meeting) of the "modellfiguren online- forum" there were a discussion after a lecture of Roland Kupski about similar subjects, we - the members of that forum - had a controversial discussion with each other and for me it was a beginning to reflect what's around the figure hobby. Well, may be for some people this is ridiculous intellectual useless waste, for me it concludes a principle view, what I want, and what I am able to show with (my) figures and how does the impression of (other) figures (or artwork) cause on me, or could cause on others.

It makes me feel like I (and probably many others too) am missing some basic theory of what this hobby and profession is all about. Or at least: Kupski's personal subjective idea's about what we are doing. These interest me a lot.

Is there any place we can find the text of that lecture?

Roland Kupski, do you have any notes or the complete text of that lecture somewhere in your computer or as a print?

Roland Kupski thank you very much, I can open and read it all.
I find 3 texts written (or edited) by you:

1) Why wars fascinate us
2) Why miniature figures fascinate us
3) Why we collect.

Since some of us use translation computers to change Russian into English, this should be possible with German too.

For those who have little time or patience to read: The article nr 2 about miniature figures is the shortest text, just 15 small pages.

As far as I know Roland Kupski is a professional clergyman, speaker, writer, theologist and philosopher so alltogether this raises my curiosity.

Vielen dank Herr Kupski, dass freut mich sehr!

Very inspiring discussion during Dioramica with Mr. Cryns, his wife, Frank Ziegler and Francesco Messori: Global thinking, regional working. Violence is a big Problem, and naiveté is a political point of view- a dangerous one.
