Does any one have any of the Strelets American Civil War sets they would be willing to swap or sell?

Good luck. Last time I looked they were pretty scarce and, therefore price wise, over my budget. You can get good metal sculpts for the same price

I think I may have some of them, if so they will be listed on ebay in the next 48 hrs.

Why don't you try to get a deal here by private messages and avoid ebay provision? Same money for you and cheaper for Little Ted ;-)

First sorry but I must of sold them already, I only have strelets Napoleonic command sets, my apologies for getting your hopes up. Kesko Why would I sell them privately for say £10 when I could sell them on Ebay for arguably double that ? , the logic escapes me .

Well, my first thought is that you want to help fellow painter/collector (first quote). But obviously you want to sell them to one who offers the most (second quote). Little Ted just wanted help and (maybe) a favor. And you didn't do any of it by stating you don't care who will buy it as long you make double amount of money :(

Kekso, who ever won them on ebay would be a collector who wanted them too. But, if someone knocked on your door and asked to buy your house because they needed somewhere to live and offered you x amount would you accept to help them out, or would you assuming your willing to sell, get a professional valuation first and proceed from there ? the principle is the same.

This is a topic where Little Ted asked for figures. Not whoever.

Comparing buying a house (place to live) with a box of plastic figures (toys) is missed analogy.
And guy didn't knocked on your door. You knocked on his = you replied on his post.

Your actions are rational in general but you had no intention to help Little Ted. And that's why I reacted.

Unfortunatly I am not in the US, I will keep looking around though thanks.

I did wonder as to why post on here that you have them and then not want to sell them but never mind. I will find some eventually.

I did some times, Peter. The shop is absolutely reliable. And Reinhard Hankofer is a nice guy.
