Israeli 6 day war infantry figures?

Posted by Jesse on 14 Dec 2015, 23:05

Hello!

I need some Israeli infantry figures for a little six-day-war diorama. Anyone have some suggestions how I might obtain these? Only ones I have found that might work are these from Elheim:
http://www.elhiem.co.uk/ourshop/prod_30 ... lemen.html

But they don't look dressed for hot climate and rifles are a bit too thick for my taste.

Do you guys know of any other suitble figures or suggestions for conversion?

Cheers!

I looked at books and photos. It's probably depence on what you want to do in this dioram, by IMHO try make conversions with:
http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=1343 - the most of all change hats/berets, you could take hats from australian infantry Revell set.
http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=110 - good base for changes
Think about:

In British helmets needed put criss-cross.
Quite usefull: http://www.blackdog.cz/products/t72/t72028/1.jpg

Thank you for the good suggestions guys! I will probably order some of the Elheim figures to see how they look IRL. The pose to the right and middle left on the picture above is exactly the kind of poses I'm after. Merry Christmas to you all :-D

I got the figures from Elheim today and I think they look better IRL than on the picture above, great! The only major surgery needed as far as I can tell now is to change the heads since I think the helmets look far too big (not that obvious on the above pricture). I'll propably decapitate some Italeri British paratroops :) So now some further research into IDF uniform colours, gear etc...

You can look at UnderFire Miniatures - they have some nice IDF Soldiers. They have also some Rhodesien Soldiers and civilians that you can use. Soldiers and civilians with FLN Guns and Uzis. Regards, Jens
