I'm no expert on WSS but know quite a lot about GNW. I wouldn't use the usual GNW Swedish infantry or cavalry as normal WSS figures since they often have their coat ends or "skirts" (don't know the correct english word) turned back, showing the inside of the coat. This became the norm later in The century but seems more rare during the WSS/GNW-era, except for the swedes. As infantry I would recommend zvezdas russian infantry of Peter The great, as artillery both GNW-sets by Zvezda. Both russian and swedish cavalry sets by Zvezda have turned back coats. What I miss is suitable figures for french infantry. They usually had belly cartridge pouches, not bags hanging on their side, slung over their shoulder (as zvezdas russian infantry have). It's all depending on how picky you want to be with details. You can also check out Strelets GNW-sets.

@Pipers Look here Pipers friend and have no doubt... http://www.krilapetrovgrada.org.rs/foru ... pic=2114.0
This diorama was made by guy from Serbia, it represent battle of Zenta in 1717...Now as I get it WSS was until 1714 and Austria was one of parcipiants... So uniform hardly was changed during two years and as I saw ilustrations it didn't...Now this guy used mostly Zvezda Russian infantry of Peter the Great as Austrians...
In this case if you don't have exact set of exact uniforme, you can use something that is closest to what you look...For example, for my diorama where I need Turks from beginning of XIX century, I can use Strelets Zouave, and for Rebels Zvezda Cossacks and Italeri American Zouaves...The rule is simple, you don't look every detail, but the most visible details...In your case you use every figures that have Tricorn hat, in my case I use everything that has turban, bearskin hat and vest and can look like fit in ordinary uniforme...There is no dilemma...Have a great time in making you project...

Are the GerMan figures listed on PSR in the WSS section not appropriate? I don't know much about this era.

Hi Jesse, I recently started a WWS project myself (http://flowersinyourcannons.blogspot.de/2015/08/regiment-piemont-wss.html) and eventually decide to use 15mm figures, as there is almost nothing in the market in 1/72 for that period, particularly in plastic. The only one I found is Dixon that has some nice figures in 25mm http://www.dixon-minis.com/shop/marlboroughs-army-25mm/

I just read a review of "Marlborough's Other Army" by Nicholas Dorrell. It sounds like a must have reference book for anyone working on WSS. (Especially in the light of the lack of progress on the Kronoskaf project)

I think you will find the two artillery sets that Strelets are bringing out for the War of Spanish Succession will have guns suitable as 3 pounders. The new Strelets sets should, hopefully, be available within the next few months.

The smaller of the guns in the Zvezda Artillery of Charles XII set is a 3 or 4 pounder. You get three of these in each box! I doubt that a 3d gun would be as cost effective as this.

If you need English battalion guns, the light guns in the Zvezda Artillery of Peter the Great set are suitable as 'galloper' guns.
